Finally, i submitted my final papor and did the presentation this week!
During the winter term, my computer was broken and i had to do most of the work in the school. it was very unconfortable that i could not read the internet source at home so that it took many times to read the sources and think the structure of the essay. However, it was very exciting that i could learn about the leadership through my essay and now what to do in my team. It was my first time to use evernote in my essay and I realized how useful it is. itried to use Zotero, but i could not use well so next time, i want to challenge the Zotero.
Also, we did a presentation in a group. it was very fun and interesting to hear what other people was researching and i found many useful informations that i could use from next time. I am very sad that i could not listen to the some of the presentation because i was absent at that time. I also had a chance to present about my research too. i decided to talk about distributed leadership and its example. I looked at the slides and try to make it simple by using less words and big picture. I hope it had some effects to the listeners. After the presentation, i thought i could do more better about my presentation like look at everyone, speak slowly and make more interesting voice. However it was very fun to do the presentation.
I am very happy to take this research learning class with Ken and my friends.

chapter 7&8
by reading chapter 7 i wanted some advise about "how to minimize the status difference?"
in Shackleton's situation, all of the member was treated as professional of their work and all people were realizing it each other, but i am now wondering how could i minimize the status difference in the situation that everyone is not a professional
i am now playing Ultimate and it is a sports so there will be a status different because the spec of each person is not same. Also, there are one more status difference, the motivation of members. In the company or organization that all of the member is focusing on one goal, the difference of motivation will not be a big problem but in university's club activity, not everyone comes to the club with an ultimate goal. I am know having problems with this motivation problem. How can i make everyone focus on one goal without forcing them to do it by using strong power? If somebody has some advise, please tell me.
chapter 8 conflict.
i always try to avoid conflict and try to negotiate with other people. Ken's negotiation skill was very nice to know what they want and what should i do. I think we cannot get good things from conflict and only bad impression for each other will appear between both people.
However, sometimes conflict is unavoidable and the important part is not to make both anger and do not lose the goal of the discussion. this is my policy and i hope i could continue this style.

The leadership a analyze with Brent!
This Wednesday we had a special guest about leadership lecture. His name was Brent and he was very powerful, aggressive nice guy.
He introduced us 4 types of leadership and it was linked to our own style. It was very useful lecture for me because now I am looking at many kinds of leadership and I found to choose the leadership by looking at the leader and the followers is very important.
In the test, I was a integrator type and I truely agreed with the result. Brent showed us what is the good point, bad point, what they do when they have stress and so on. This slide helped me to understand what is needed for my leadership. Also, I was surprised that my friend was kind of result leadership and Brent's analyze was correct!
At last, Brent said that each leadership is important but to know your weakness is also important. His lecture was very exciting for me and I want to look all of the slides that he was going to present us!

Chapter 5
The team message.
Establish a shared identity.
This important because team has to be a one rock. At the beggining of the chapter, " we are one - we live or die together. To share the team identity makes everyone as a one team but I am afraid that some people does not understand that just sharing is does not means, everyone agrees about it. On the other hand, there might be some followers does not have their opinion and just forced to agree with the team identity in some social situation. To solve this situation, each followers must have opinion and in the chapter 5 , it is said like " Keep everyone informed, involved, and Thinking about solutions".
Also, I think making a chance for everyone to express their thought is very important. Maintain communication between leader and followers, make everyone think about the solutions and have a chance for everyone makes a good team identity. I think these are the work for leaders to make a good followers and a team!

What an interesting calenge!
Today, our class was different from usual class.
Our super teacher Introduced us an interesting project named "mashumaro challenge"
The rule is very simple. Build as high as you could by using the materials in is prepared in 18 minutes.
By this project, we could learn many important things for businesses like work pararell, challenge and learn by doing.
I cannot believe that the high score is 99cm. I cannot imagine how to build such a mashumaro tower.
My group was 4 boys and first, we could not make the tower stand because we did not think about the weight of mashumaro.
and the second time, by using many materials and information, we successed to build a tower almost 90 CM like the picture on the beggining.
It was interesting that there were many way to to build the tower using the materials. I was feeling like I am the carpenter of the building. Also, I was surprised that we acted like the data showed us, discuss for long time and challenge and build the tower. I was really persuaded why kindergartens scores a high score .
I have forgot some important skills in the past!

my introduction(maybe)
These days there are many organization around our life and leadership is common to everyone around the world. The leadership has some relationship between the country’s society type. In japan, most of the people will think “vertical leadership” is normal because japan is vertical structure society. Vertical structure society is a type of society which focus on “what are you belonging?” like school, company, and so on. This society type has strong hierarchical relationship and this appears in the company’s boss and subordinate. The opposite type is horizontal structure society, India is a good example, that focus on “what is your capacity?” such as job, caste and so on. Especially, in Japan vertical leadership is used in most of the places. Such as company, laboratory and even in children's club activity.
Vertical leadership might be old for these days when we look at Fortune’s “World most Admired Company 2014”.() Only around 10 company raked in top 100 but most of them got lower rank than 2013. This vertical leadership and vertical structure society is very special that only few countries such as japan, korea and so on only uses them mainly. Not just the leadership type made the japanese company’s rank lower but as we can see, there are no new company that is getting popular these days born in Japan. The japan’s leadership might be stuck and need some new type of leadership. Distributed leadership is a kind of new leadership which is introduced recently. If the vertical leadership is compared as a group which has boss and subordinate, distributed leadership is like a team which means everyone has almost the same power and decide what to do by everyone. So, this distributed leadership is better than vertical leadership.
This paper will examine how distributed leadership is useful these days. It begin with the demerit and the limit of vertical leadership. Then look at the merit of the distributed leadership and how it can solve the problems of vertical leadership. Finally, the common point of two leadership and explain how we can change the leadership style with explaining the example of success in other company.
i thought i need more research and read them because there are many points that needs sources. i hope i had more times,,,

chapter 3 &4
Chapter 3 and 4 talks about 'Optimism' and "stamina"
Optimism is a key point for the organization which has goals. There are many successes and also faults when we are doing work and i have heard that bad impression has more impact than good impression. For example, if we give someone 1 bad impression, we have to give them 7 good impression to make the relationship better. So, that the bad things seem to be realize very bigger than the fact. When facing this situation, leader might be very nervous because the team's fault is leaders fault, but on the other hand the leader must look at the next step and show to the followers immediately. there are no times for the leader to stop. leaders should not look back because if leader did not look forward, who will lead the followers? to look forward, optimism is necessary because being negative does not make a success. if the leader sentient optimism and try to spread to the followers, the team can stand up even they are in a dark negative space!!!
Stamina! very important and i think there are two kinds of stamina. one is stamina of body and the other is stamina for the heart. However, the annoying one is stamina for heart. We could recover the body stamina by eating, sleeping and so on. But, the heart stamina is difficult to recover because there are less chances to rest than the body. to management everyone's stamina, leader should look at everyone's mental and also care about his own mental. i think this is why leader is difficult. i have more opinions for "stamina" but i will stop here for now!!
