Reading capter 1

     I started to read this book as my teacher and i decided to compare Shackleton and my experience.  This chapter first showa us the decision and how it was related to Shackleton's experience and finally it explain the knowhow about that theme. i agree with the first theme, "do not lose the Ultimate goal." I think leader should be the first people to go toward the goal. Everyone look at the leader and realize what should they do and leader should show them what is needed to success the goal by his behavior. So, if the leader lose the vision toward the goal, the whole group will be destroyed from the inside because they can not know where to go, what to do for something.
     This chapter was very useful me to think about my life management. For me, i should be the leader of myself and if we have many choices to do, we sometimes lose our decision. however, if we have an ultimate goal in ourself it will make us not to lose our decision.

My hobby

     After entering ICU, my lifestyle has changed. When i was a highschool student, my hobby was to play card games, video games, listening to music and most of theem was indoor hobbies. When the school finishes, i go home straightly or play games with my friends and i was not an active high school student,,,
     But for now, i got a new hobby! Playing sports became the one of my hobby! This is because i joined the flying disc club and i  started to enjoy other sports such as soccer, volley ball and so on. P.E. also helped me to enjoy sports because it made me to play many kinds of sports. However i do not like running and swimming kinds of sports that does not use balls.
     I still like playing games and listening to music, especialiy Perfume, and i want to continue these hoobies.I think having many hobbies makes my life wonderful!

review of the first week

My research writing has started and now I am learning about leadership! First week, we focused on shaking hands. Our teacher talked us the meaning of hand shaking and what is good handshake and bad hand shake. I really agree with the meaning of handshake that means we have connection between us. In many sports, many people shake hands with their enemy. However, it shows both player's sports man ship and respect. The three points of hand shaking is "brief", "warm" and "firm". Our teacher said that he remembers when he did a bad handshaking and also he told us if we did a bad handshake, we could try again. I thought this point was a different point between Japan and English handshaking. I felt English one has more important roll among relationship and in japan, it might be more flattery than English one. From next time, I will challenge to do a good handshake to show my impression!!

Self Introduction!

Hi!
My name is Yuji Matsumura. I am from Tokyo and I am now living in Setagaya-ku.  I am interested on MCC, especially how culture is made and change. Now, I am the member of the flying disc team "Winds". I decided to take this class because i am playing captain of my team. I am not a good captain now, so I want to be a good captain which has strong leadership. Now I am interested how can I tell my opinion easily and persuade them.
Good leader makes a good team. good team can get a good score and become a strong team. I want to make my team more stronger, so I want to be a good leader by taking this class. Now our team is trying to make a leader system like Google.
If someone has a experience of leader of some kind of team or group, please tell me. I have many things that I want to know and question. I hope I could survive this winter term !
